Freshservice is implementing changes/upgrades to some of its systems and features to provide improved services and an uninterrupted IT service management experience. Here’s a list of changes that are expected in November 2025 and their respective impacts:
Table of contents
1. Introducing groups and chains in Approvals
Freshservice is changing how approvals are raised and granted. Freshservice is introducing approval groups and chains to facilitate approvals that happen simultaneously.
Date: November 1, 2025
Impacted accounts: All accounts
Action required: For all use cases replicable with approval groups, Freshservice will perform the transition with no intervention required. There will be a limited impact on existing flows.
2. Deprecation of Application Load Balancer IPs
The Application Load Balancer (ALB) IP addresses (IPs) for Freshservice is being deprecated to enable domain-based allowlisting of endpoints instead of static IP-based allowlisting.
Date: November 1, 2025
Impacted accounts: All accounts
Action required: Ensure that ‘freshservice.com’ and ‘myfreshworks.com’ domains are used for allowlisting to continue accessing all the Freshservice application endpoints.
3. Upgrade Sandbox account
Take advantage of the latest enhancements in Sandbox by upgrading to the newest version. This upgrade includes performance improvements and optimizations.
- Date: November 5, 2025
- Impacted accounts: All accounts
- Actions required: If your Sandbox was created before September 10, 2024, upgrade to the latest version. Failure to do so may result in using an outdated version with limited capabilities.
4. Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for Freshservice Analytics
Note: The FUP implementation was part of the May 2025 notice. The deadline for implementation was set as May 6, 2025. This has since been extended to November 5, 2025.
Freshservice is introducing a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for all users of the Analytics modules. To ensure all users have uninterrupted, performant, and smooth reporting experiences, we are implementing safeguards in some of our analytics capabilities starting November 5, 2025. Reports that are not modified to comply with FUP limits before November 5, 2025, will be moved to the Trash folder.
- Date: November 5, 2025
- Impacted accounts: Accounts with reports, data exports, or schedules in Analytics that violate the Fair Usage Policy will be impacted by this change.
- Action Required: Make changes to ensure that all reports adhere to the FUP before November 5, 2025. Follow in-product instructions (displayed for relevant accounts in the product since May 16th, 2024) and resolve FUP violations.
