We will deprecate the Application Load Balancer (ALB) IP addresses (IPs) for Freshservice application by 05 November 2025. This deprecation enables domain-based allowlisting of our endpoints instead of the static IP-based allowlisting.


Note: IP-based allowlisting of Freshservice endpoints will no longer be supported after 05 November 2025, requiring you to use only the ‘freshservice.com’ and ‘myfreshworks.com’ domains for allowlisting.

What will change after this deprecation?

To support a standard method for allowlisting the Freshservice application and its endpoints, we will introduce domain-based allowlisting, which must be updated in your firewall configurations.

  • IP addresses from the ALB IPs list can still be added in your configurations, but it’s subject to change from time to time, due to which you might face downtime. Additionally, this will require you to keep the list updated continuously.

  • If you have any cname domain configured with subdomain, ensure to include the cname URL domain along with ‘freshservice.com’ and ‘myfreshworks.com’ domains for allowlisting.


Note: This implementation eliminates the need for periodic tracking and continuous updates to the firewall configurations as and when any changes or additions are made to the list of ALB IPs, which will ensure uninterrupted operations and prevent downtime.


How do I know if this deprecation impacts me?

This deprecation impacts all Freshservice accounts, as we transition from IP-based to domain-based allowlisting.


What is the impact of this deprecation?

As part of the deprecation process, ALB IPs should not be used for allowlisting the Freshservice application and endpoints. If you continue to use the ALB IPs, requests sent to any of the IPs in this list may fail.


What should you do?

Ensure that the ‘freshservice.com’ and ‘myfreshworks.com’ domains are used for allowlisting to continue accessing all the Freshservice application endpoints.
