We will deprecate the legacy version of the Jamf app by May 2025. If you are still using it, you will need to upgrade to the new Jamf app (Version 2.0) with enhanced security from the Freshservice marketplace before the end of April 2025.

CONTENTS

Why is the legacy version being deprecated?

The legacy version of the Jamf app authenticates users through username and password, which is a legacy standard and is no longer supported by Jamf.

The new Jamf app (Version 2.0), which is available on the Freshservice marketplace:

  • Aligns with the enhanced Jamf security standards, and uses the OAuth authentication mechanism.
  • Includes all the legacy app features.
  • Includes new features and capabilities.

You should upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible to ensure that the Jamf app functions correctly and you face no disruptions.
