Once you have decided to go ahead with your change, it is important that you get your agenda in order by coming up with a roll-out plan. Similarly, a roll-back plan is critical for restoring services back to normal when things don’t go right.
You can use Freshservice to clearly lay out all of your plans and set the direction for your change before it gets performed by your engineering team.
Quick guide to adding roll-out and back-out plans to your changes:
Open up any change in your service desk from the Dashboard or the Changes tab.
Click on the Add Roll-out plan or Add Back-out plan buttons below the original change request.
Type in a Roll-out plan yourself or attach a file from your computer.
Similarly, enter a Back-out plan in the text box or upload any document file from your local system.
- Click on the Add button to finish adding the plans for your change.
