What is an Asset Unit (AU)?

An Asset Unit (AU) is the standard measurement for IT Asset Management (ITAM) capacity. Different asset types consume different AU values based on the effort and resources required to manage them.

How AU consumption is calculated

Each asset type is assigned a specific AU count. When you add an asset to the system, it consumes a defined number of AUs from your total capacity.
