How do I go about including the serial number of assets in the report?

Create a new asset report. Since ‘Serial Number’ is only present for ‘Hardware’ assets, you must filter by Root CI type as 'Hardware'’ and CI Type as 'Laptop' or any other CI type to get the serial number data.
