Use article versioning to track changes, manage multiple versions, and restore previous versions of your articles. Maintain a comprehensive audit trail for your knowledge base articles and stay on top of changes.


Here’s how you can access the version history of your articles on Freshservice/FSBT:


Accessing Version History

To access the version history of any article:

  1. Go to Solutions. This presents you with all articles in your Freshservice/FSBT Knowledge Base. 
  2. Open the article of your choice.
  3. Access the Versions section under each article.


    Note: This is available only if the article has been updated more than once.


Performing Actions on Versions

Freshservice/FSBT enables you to perform the following actions on versions:

  1. Name a Version: Click the three-dot button and click "Name a Version". Provide a name for the version.

  2. Copy Link to a Version: You can copy link to a version and share it with other agents/users.

  3. Restore a Version: At any given moment, only version of the article stays published. If you want to revert the published version to an earlier version, scroll down to the article from the list of versions and click "Restore". This restores the article to the older version and moves the current published version to draft.
