Feature releases and updates for the month of July 2016.
1. DocuSign Integration for Freshservice
The DocuSign Integration allows contract managers to quickly and efficiently approve and execute contracts in Freshservice, with DocuSign’s eSignature technology.
Agents can specify the names and email addresses of the recipients, assign a custom signing order, if applicable and send documents) for signing. The recipient(s) will then receive a notification that guides them through the eSigning & contract execution process. Once the document is digitally signed, the status of the contract changes to Signed in Freshservice.
2. Schedule Reports
The Report Scheduling feature in Freshservice allows Service Desk Supervisors to automatically generate and email reports at periodic intervals.
Note: This feature is currently available only for custom Change and Asset reports.
3. Customize Service Request Subject Template
Service Desk Admins can now customize the subject associated with the Service Request, using placeholders. For example, in the service request “New Employee Hire”, the admin can configure the subject of this service request to include custom fields of the item such as Employee Name, Employee ID, Department, Job Role etc., allowing agents to filter/search for service requests by specific fields of the item on the ticket list view page.
4. Freshservice Probe Update - Installations below v1.26 are now obsolete
A new version of the Freshservice Discovery probe (v1.26) is now available for download from the Discovery Admin page. Any probe installed and configured before 06 July 2016 will continue to function as expected. However, new installations of probes downloaded before 06 July 2016 will no longer be supported.
