Service Catalog: Both wonderful and useless

First let me say I love the Service Catalog, but it's useless because I can't actually *DO* anything with the data captured. I feel like I must be missing something but the only way I can find the Request Item data is through the FreshService UI. I can't access it through the API I can't use it as a placeholder on Emails I can't report on it Because of this I can't expose that data to anyone other than an agent, and often times I need to get it elsewhere. Are there plans to make this data accessible - or am I missing something really obvious?

I am upping this, I ran into the same issue: the customer data input cannot be seen by the customer, forwarded or used for reporting :/

I'd like to have this solved !


We have introduced new placeholders, using which you can add custom fields in email notifications and automation emails.
