When adding a custom 'date field' to the service catalog, you should have the option to disable the time part.
I.e. when asking for a birthdate or when an employee will come in service there is no need to select the time. When it's there, users are confused.
Would be valuable for us too. We are using the "date field" for example in the Service Item "User on-Boarding" where we ask for the entry date. The time doesn't make sense there.
We would also like a date only field. The exact time is not always applicable.
Yes, this is available only in the Service Catalog form now. We see that this will be beneficial in the other forms in the product as well. I have included this on our backlog. We'll notify once it's implemented across the product.

Added this to the list of short term roadmap items. We will take it up in a couple of weeks.
It was recently implemented, but it doesn't look like anyone from Freshservice has chimed in about it. Just click on the Date & Time custom field and you'll now have a checkbox to enable or disable requesting the time.
We have shipped this last week.
+1 for getting this optional for all date pickers. Picking a time isn't beneficial for most interaction with a user and it's just a barrier. Thanks!
